Beth Vale is a South African storyteller, anthropologist, and writer based in Vancouver. Her work lives at the intersections of society and the body, oriented towards more just care ecologies. Beth’s publications span academic journals, exhibition catalogues, edited volumes, and popular press; and reflect a multiplicity of genres including narrative non-fiction, memoir, poetry, speculative fiction, and policy writing. Currently, she is focused on research, writing, and artmaking to unmask the racial capitalist patterning of death and disease and connect our ecological and epidemiological futures.
